This page is designed to help you find a committee in your area—or start one if your county is not yet represented. At the top of section, Michigan is divided into four regions: South, Central, North, and Upper Peninsula. Below the map, you will find a list of the counties included in that region. If a county already has an America250MI committee, you can use this page to identify and connect with it. If your county does not yet have a committee, this is your invitation to help create one and join a growing statewide movement.

Committee in Every County is the fastest way to bring your community together around shared planning, local storytelling, and public participation. It creates space for meaningful conversations about the Declaration of Independence, Michigan history, and the many local stories that help shape our state. Just as importantly, it helps communities form active local teams and establish formal recognition that can strengthen partnerships, build momentum, and unlock resources across Michigan.
